Connect App Store Connect
Create an App Store Connect API key, then add it in AppScreenStudio. After that you can upload screenshots and listing text from Exports → Upload to Store.
Before you start
- You are signed in to AppScreenStudio (guest accounts cannot add store connections).
- Pro or an active Editor Pass is required to upload.
- Your iOS app already exists in App Store Connect.
- For screenshot uploads, the app needs a version in Prepare for Submission.

- Go to Users and Access → Integrations → App Store Connect API.
- Under Keys, generate a new key.
- Name it something like
App Screen Studioand set access to App Manager or Admin. - Copy the Issuer ID (top of the page) and the key’s Key ID, then download the
.p8file. You can download it only once.

What to enter in App Screen Studio
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Platform | App Store |
| Label | A name you’ll recognize (e.g. My iOS App) |
| Bundle ID | Exact Bundle ID from App Store Connect |
| Issuer ID | UUID from the App Store Connect API keys page |
| Key ID | ID of the API key you created |
| .p8 private key | The downloaded .p8 file |

Common issues
No app found for bundle ID
Enter the Bundle ID exactly as shown in App Store Connect — no extra spaces.
Invalid key / authentication failed
Issuer ID, Key ID, and .p8 must belong to the same API key.
No editable version during upload
Create a version in App Store Connect and leave it in Prepare for Submission.
Locale not found / missing localization
AppScreenStudio now creates missing version locales (e.g. en-US) automatically. For App Information (title/subtitle), fill the App Store title in Store listing or add the language in App Store Connect.
Lost the .p8 file
Apple only lets you download it once. Create a new API key and update the connection.
Checklist
- □API key created (Issuer ID, Key ID, .p8 downloaded)
- □Bundle ID matches App Store Connect
- □Validate & save succeeded (green check)
- □App version is Prepare for Submission (for screenshot upload)
Security
API keys are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. The UI only shows a masked preview (for example Key ID: ••••AB12). Deleting a connection permanently removes the stored credentials.
